Chancellor Drake Honors Broadcom Chairman Henry Samueli

Chancellor Michael Drake and more than 30 other campus community members attended a luncheon Oct. 15 to honor Henry Samueli, chairman of Broadcom Corp. Samueli has provided generous support to UC Irvine’s Henry Samueli School of Engineering, helping it become one of the nation’s top 40 programs.

Samueli has funded scholarships and fellowships used to recruit top undergraduate and graduate students, endowed chairs that attract exceptional faculty members, and other school priorities. Many of the 15 recipients of 2007-08 Samueli scholarships and fellowships were on hand to interact with luncheon guests.
