Chancellor Drake Celebrates Completion of Hospital Campaign
At a June 4 meeting of the University of California, Irvine Foundation Board of Trustees, Chancellor Michael Drake celebrated the completion of UCI’s $50 million new hospital fundraising campaign. A $21 million gift from the estate of M.A. Douglas in May completed the campaign, and the new hospital was named UC Irvine Douglas Hospital in his honor. At the meeting, foundation and UCI representatives were given white lab coats to commemorate the milestone.
