Chancellor Drake Introduces Distinguished Fellow Richard Carmona

Chancellor Michael Drake introduced Dr. Richard Carmona, 17th Surgeon General of the United States and Distinguished Professor of Public Health at the University of Arizona, on May 1 at Crystal Cove Auditorium. Carmona was invited to UCI by the College of Health Sciences as part of the Chancellor’s Distinguished Fellows Series. His talk, “Prevention, Preparedness, Plagues and Politics: The Life of the Surgeon General,” was presented to an audience of 400.
