Chancellor Drake Greets Chancellor’s Club Members During Annual Event
On April 24, Chancellor Michael Drake joined Chancellor’s Club attendees for the 6th Annual Daniel G. Aldrich, Jr. Society Reception and Lecture, held at John V. Croul Hall in the School of Physical Sciences. The members and their guests gathered to hear Michael Prather, director of the UC Irvine Environment Institute, speak on “Global Change, Energy and Sustainable Resources.” The chancellor introduced Professor Prather and talked about the importance of the institute as it works to shape the future of environmental issues.
This annual lecture is organized and hosted by the Chancellor’s Club, one of the oldest and largest support groups at UCI. Founded in 1972, the club counts among its members alumni, community leaders, business leaders and parents.
