Chancellor Drake Provides Campus Update to Pacifica Institute
On Feb. 17, members of the Pacifica Institute gathered at the group’s weekly luncheon to hear remarks from and converse with Chancellor Michael Drake about UC Irvine’s strategic goals. The briefing was an ideal setting to continue building upon the strong partnership between the university and the community. After listening to the chancellor’s remarks, guests enjoyed lunch hosted by the institute.
Formerly known as Global Cultural Connections, Pacifica Institute was founded in 2003 by the Turkish American community of California to promote cross-cultural awareness and “help establish a better society where individuals love, respect and accept each other as they are.”
