Chancellor Drake Celebrates Holidays with University Friends

Chancellor Michael Drake joined university friends Dec. 14 at a holiday gala hosted by University of California, Irvine Foundation Trustees Tom and Elizabeth Tierney at their home in Coto de Caza. While enjoying comfort foods like mac ’n cheese, guests were serenaded by UCI music students and alumni.

Chancellor Drake thanked the foundation trustees and university friends for their support throughout 2008. Expressing particular excitement about the opening of the new University Hospital in 2009, the chancellor also thanked the Tierneys for their dedication in co-chairing the campaign to support the new facility.
