Chancellor Drake Honors 2008 Living Our Values Award Recipients
At a Dec. 4 Tierney University House luncheon, Chancellor Michael Drake saluted the recipients of the 2008 Living Our Values Awards. The annual award program honors UCI faculty, staff and students whose actions best embody the university’s values of respect, intellectual curiosity, integrity, commitment, empathy, appreciation and fun.
Individual award recipients honored were Emily Dow, family medicine associate clinical professor; Nikishna Polequaptewa, American Indian Resource Program director; Kathryn Van Ness, Career Center director; and Mitchell Winans, undergraduate political science major.
The staff team award was presented to the Arts Production Team, including Vera Bailey, costume shop manager; Keith Bangs, scenic shop supervisor; Ronald Cargile, lighting supervisor; Scott Collins, audio supervisor; Cristin Downs, assistant production manager; Joseph Forehand and Kevin Hale, shop foremen; Aaron Jackson, scenic artist; Shirley Kesler, props supervisor; Erik Lawrence, senior wardrobe technician; Yentrang Le, senior wardrobe technician; Sarah Ormsby, assistant production manager – music; Jeffrey Stube, master carpenter; and Toby Weiner, production manager. The student team award was earned by the Emergency Medicine Interest Group, including Joseph Dinglasan Jr., Michael Habicht, Katherine Hartzell, Jamie Kahn, Jennifer McBride, Abid Mogannam, Rod Mortazavi, Karimdad Otarodifard, Nicole Rink, Pedro Salcido Jr., Pamela Swan, Eric Silman, Monica Wattana and Eric Wei.
