High School Honors Students Visit UC Irvine
Chancellor Michael Drake welcomed 1,000 high school students and their families to UC Irvine March 8 for Honors Experience Day. The annual recruitment event introduced recently admitted honors students to UCI through laboratory and library tours, financial aid presentations, faculty lectures and dorm visits. Guests also heard about the unique benefits of campus life from Chancellor Drake and interacted with current students.
The event was sponsored by the Campuswide Honors Program, Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships and Office of Admissions & Relations with Schools to showcase for these outstanding high school students the advantages of enrolling at UCI. Each participant has been offered a Regents’ Scholarship and admission to the Campuswide Honors Program. Students have until May 1 to send in statements of intent to register.
